Detailed itinerary

Day 1: Welcome to Kathmandu!

Bauddhanathn Stupa

When you fly into Kathmandu, you’ll be able to see the valley, the Himalayas, and the terraced fields below. After clearing customs, a representative will meet you outside the airport and assist you in navigating the narrow, winding streets of Kathmandu to your hotel. In the evening, the tourist district of Thamel is a good place to get your first meal, with a variety of restaurants serving both Western and Nepali cuisine.

Day 2: Drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara, Trishuli River Rafting

After breakfast, you’ll leave Kathmandu for Pokhara, Nepal’s second-largest city on the banks of Phewa Lake. The city is located in a peaceful valley (827 m) and serves as the starting point for many of Nepal’s well-known treks. The road follows the Trishuli River’s banks, passing traditional villages and terraced fields. You’ll stop en route for a 3-hour rafting trip. The river is relatively safe and provides an excellent introduction to rafting in Nepal. Lunch will be provided en-route, and you will finish at a riverside resort on a hillside with spectacular views. If you don’t want to raft, you can relax at the Riverside Resort and skip the rafting.

Day 3: Paragliding from Sarangkot Hill, Trek to Australian Camp (6,168 ft / 1,880 m)

Today, you’ll get up extra early in Pokhara to be picked up by a paragliding trip staff member, who will drive you to Sarangkot to see a beautiful sunrise against the mountains. After that, you’ll prepare for and participate in a tandem paragliding experience with panoramic views of the Annapurna range, including the Dhaulagiri and Manaslu peaks.

After the adventure, you’ll return to your Pokhara hotel, where you’ll be picked up and driven to the Kande village. You’ve arrived at the starting point of our journey to Australian Camp! The Australian Camp is situated on a hilltop with stunning views of the valleys and the Annapurna range. Kande is about an hour’s drive from Pokhara. For the first two hours, the trail is steep with a stone staircase.

Day 4: Trek from Australian Camp to Phedi, drive to Pokhara

You’ll descend through the jungle forest from Australian Camp to Dhampus in just under two hours. Dhampus is a lovely village located on the Annapurna Trekking route. You’ll arrive at Phedi after another hour’s walk, where your driver and vehicle will be waiting to take you back to Pokhara. You have the rest of the day to do whatever you want with it.

Day 5: Fly from Pokhara to Kathmandu, Depart!

After breakfast, you’ll be transferred to Pokhara’s domestic airport for your flight back to Kathmandu. If you’re flying back home from Kathmandu today, you need to ensure your flight departs no earlier than 11 am to ensure you’ll have enough time to catch it. (The earliest you can arrive back in Kathmandu will be around 9:15 am.)
