Nagarkot is a village in central Nepal near the Kathmandu Valley’s rim. It’s famous for its panoramic views of the Himalayas, including Mount Everest to the northeast, which is especially beautiful at sunrise and sunset. The surrounding scrubland is crisscrossed with trails and is home to a plethora of butterflies. To the west is the ancient, pagoda-style Changunarayan Temple, a Hindu pilgrimage site dedicated to Vishnu.

Drive to Nagarkot in your own or rented car. Check-in and unwind. You can take a stroll around the Nagarkot Hills. You can stop along the way and visit Bhaktapur Durbar Square on your own. Get up early in the morning to see the breathtaking sunrise. The hotel itself provides an incredible view of the Himalayas. If you are not satisfied with this view, take a pleasant walk to the view tower, which is only one hour away from your hotel. Take pictures of the mountain and return to the same hotel. Drive back to Kathmandu after breakfast. Alternatively, you can extend your stay for an additional fee.
