The path takes us through lush forests and rivers, and we move along while admiring the breathtaking mountain views.
We arrive in Ghandruk village, which is nestled in the shadow of the pristine Annapurna range of mountains. The lovely Ghandruk village welcomes us in all its splendor. We spend the night in Ghandruk at a homestay and enjoy the welcoming ceremony, which is followed by a traditional dance performed by the local Gurung community. We have a delicious dinner of Nepali cuisine in the evening and spend the night at the homestay.
Drive back Ghandruk to Pokhara- DAY 3
We watch the sunrise from Ghandruk in the early morning. The golden rays of the sun falling on the silver mountains are a breathtaking sight. We will return to Nayapul after breakfast, passing through terraced farmed hills and unique village settlements.
We eat lunch in Nayapul before continuing on our short drive to Pokhara. In the evening, we take a stroll around the city, taking in the vibrant atmosphere of Pokhara’s Lakeside. We spend the night in Pokhara at a hotel.

When is the best time to travel from Kathmandu to Ghandruk?
The tour from Kathmandu to Ghandruk is suitable for all seasons. The peak seasons of Autumn and Spring, however, are the best times to visit Ghandruk from Kathmandu. In Nepal, the spring season lasts from March to May, while the autumn season lasts from September to November.
Autumn’s post-monsoon period is generally stable and has less precipitation. The clear views of the mountains, combined with the consistent weather, make the season appealing to visitors. Another highlight of the autumn tour is the scenic beauty of the area and the festive atmosphere that surrounds it.
Difficulties
“Ghandruk and surrounding areas are undoubtedly facing problems as a result of climate change,” said Dr. Maheshwar Dhakal, Secretary at Gandaki Province’s Ministry of Industry, Tourism, Forestry, and Environment. “The topography of this has become risky due to an increase in landslides and floods,” he explained.
